Tickets have been ordered and confirmed for the trip.

I’ll be leaving for Japan on the 18th of September and the return trip to Sweden, if all goes well and I don’t die on my endeavour, will be on the 11th of October.

I’ll be lifting off from Copenhagen and landing in Amsterdam on my way there, “getting to” spend more than a little time getting to know the (hopefully) wonderful Schiphol airport. A grand total of 18 hours of travel. I just wonder how much of it I’ll be able to sleep away.

On my way back, I shall be taking in the sights of Charles de Gaulle airport. It can’t be that bad, right? Charles was a pretty nifty guy, after all.

And in Japan I’ll be landing on Narita. So I guess Tokyo will be my first and last stop in Japan.

For the long hauls I’ll be flying with Japan Airlines, that for some reason pays about one third of the taxes that Virgin does, and because of that was the cheaper option. It strikes me as really odd. I wonder if it’s because Japan subsidizes some taxes for international flights from Japanese airlines?

All that’s left is to wait.
